Gallery Walk Ideas and Projects

Team members particiapted in a gallery walk of posters describing 4 key ideas of district accountability systems. Team members identified possible ideas and projects that our team could engage in this year to address one or more of the ideas listed below. Please use this thread to react to the ideas or add additional ideas and projects.

Assessment of and for Learning
Build an online accessible repository for ELA diagnostic classroom assessments
Build an online accessible repository for ELD diagnostic classroom assessments for EL students.
Establish the central repository for assessment items on an online site such as Tapped-In (http://tappedin.org)
Spend time in our meetings with online assessment resources.
Form teacher learning groups to work on the classroom assessments for learning book.
Collaborate on building, jurying, using, field testing and sharing test items especially for Benchmark Assessments.

Data Decision Support Systems
Share the pros and cons of the newer data decision support systems including Zangle, Aeries, and Data Director
Implementation of new Data Systems – Cautions and Successes
Where’s the funding source and decision making done to make change? Tech Services? Business Department?
Review autonomous client/server systems with we-based interfaces

Data Inquiry
Build and online repository of data inquiry protocols for multiple stakeholder groups.
Build an interactive data matrix of County: District data management systems E-mail/phone/cell/contact person Assessment system etc.

Professional Learning Communities
-Demonstration of videos of good inquiries – professional learning communities discussing data, instructional interventions, monitoring activities, and so on.
